Activision found a cash-generating machine in “Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure” in 2011 and they predictably reboot the ATM this year with “Skylanders Giants,” a minor sequel to a major game. With its blend of toys and video games — people can take their Skylanders figures and magically transport them into the game — these are titles that appeal to that base of pre-teens that must have every release in their favorite line.
